I love the harvest of yummy treats at this time of year…
Some wonderful friends gave us a huge bag of bramley apples a few weeks ago.
The apples became apple sauce, which I stored.
And yesterday that apple sauce became the most delicious Amaretti Crumble.
The recipe came from the wonderful Nigella, but I thought the apple sauce and a few pears worked equally well.
How grateful I feel for the simple gift of apples.
